Brief on the 30th AIPC - TECHVISION 2003

The 30th All India Printers' Conference will be held concurrently with PRINTPACK Expo 2003 and PRINTVISION 2003 exhibitions in Mumbai from Feb 5-8 2003.

This event, organised by The Bombay Master Printers' Association, supported by Indian Printing Packaging and Allied Machinery Manufacturers Association (IPAMA), is being co-sponsored by NPES (USA), the Indian Institute of Packaging and Indian Newspapers / Society (INS).

Advances in information communication and developments in computerisation, digitisation, automation, have changed every aspect of life. Internet use, on-line journalism and e-commerce are growing. All this is creating new markets and new content, and improving products and bottom lines. Industry needs much-more skills and resources, both human and financial, to exploit new technologies.

Print professionals are expecting 2003 business conditions to improve.
Printers are viewing 2003 as a boom period for our industry.

The conference / seminars during the 30th All India Printers' Conference focuses on the theme of Graphic Art India Inc. - Emerging Technologies. This will provide a forum for printers, print media professionals, industry experts and policy makers to deliberate upon the challenges and opportunities in the new millennium. Prominent speakers from India and abroad have been invited to address the conference delegates.

The conference will attempt to answer some typical questions.
    - What are the forces causing change in the next 12 months?
    - Where are the sales opportunities and problem areas?
    - Where are prepress firms headed and how will they get there?
    - What will be the impact of digital and variable-data printing?
    - What technologies will increase or decrease in importance?

The conference will organise panel discussions with global buyers like Unilever, Procter & Gamble, Colgate Palmolive, as well as publication houses of international repute.
